Description: Lobsters software uses Gravatar for its avatars. Gravatar is one of the ultimate webshit scourges and it's almost offensive to our users to have it.
We should fix it with a real avatar system. Hypothesis
AMENDED 2017-10-05: We couldn't come up with any good reason to have avatars at all, so they're going to get turned off entirely.

SUSPENDED 2017-10-10: Avatars are now off by default; if we still want to change the avatar system, or wholly remove the feature, we can revisit this.
