There are at least three operative social forces at work. These forces are sex role, which is here defined as dominance of the intrinsic or extrinsic value mode, ingroup/outgroup, and status.
Modern gender radicalism discourse often comes as a rude, sudden, and profoundly strange shock to those who have been previously unexposed. The things that these people claim in their lives, like an endless sea of rude domineering and rapacious men, or cruel teasing manipulative soulless women, are often quite foreign to naive readers. At first glance the red pill hawkers and mens rights activists seem like they couldn't be farther away from the bra burners and radical feminists.
